Default Model 27 Ammo

Just purchased a Model 27-2 3 1/2 inch.Correct ammo is .357 mag or .38 Special. Is the .38 Special +P ok to use in this firearm?

Absolutely! .38 Special +P is milder than all but the lightest .357 Magnum loads. Can't hurt a Model 27 with those (or any commercial .357 ammo, for that matter). Enjoy it!

He meant to say it CAN'T hurt a Model 27. The 27 is a beast, much stronger than it needs to be. You can shoot the most powerful .357 magnum in this gun without damaging it.

Yikes! How'd I let that typo through! Of course I mean to say that the Model 27 is strong like bull and no commercially loaded .38 or .357 load will cause it any problems. Thanks for the catch! I've corrected my earlier post.
