Default Signs of Re-bluing

I have recently picked up a great shape M-66-2. Looks almost too good to be true. Have examined it closely, but could not find any signs of re-bluing. But wondering if you have any suggestions as to how to find any tell-tale signs of previously
being reblued?

A mod 66 is a stainless revolver and would not be blued.

Presume you're talking about a 19? Seems like most reblues start with getting buffed out. This should be noticeable on the logos and around screw holes (not a crisp machined edge, but one buffed out at a bench on a wheel).

Also if it is an old Smith, nothing can replace the deep liquid blue of days gone by.

If you can post a picture that would help.

If you have a 66 and it's blued you have a problem as they are only made in SS.

Sorry, Fellers. Flint Ridge is right, it is a M19-2. I have both the M66 and the M19, and put down the wrong model number. As far as I can tell, it is original. I have taken the side plate off, and I believe it is factory finish. Appreciate the replies.
The logo and markings are crisp and clean. Thanks for the corrections.

Sometimes the edges of the sideplate are slightly rounded from over buffing on reblued revolvers.

Sometimes a reblue includes the bluing of things not originally blued. WOW - That was a tongue twister. Case colored hammers, triggers, etc.

After further inspection, I'm sure it's factory. The trigger and hammer haven't been touched with blue. Beatiful case colored. Thanks for the replies.

Check the front of the ejector rod. It is fitted part and most likely is still in the white. Also, the ratchets are not blued. If both are blue, I would be suspicious.
