Default Model 19-3 value

What is a Smith and Wesson model 19-3 with a 4" barrel and nickel worth? It doesn't have a box or paper work and is very good condition.

Call it $375-450, depending on exact condition.

Got you bracketed, I purchased a nickel 2 1/2" 19-5 for $400 and a blued 19-2 4" with original diamond rosewood targets for $450 in the last 60 days. Yes, I was lucky on both...

Nothing like that in the Seattle area for under $500 at the local shows in the last 2 years or so. 80-90% guns may be $75-$100 lower but the model 19 seems to be in high demand so you don't see many of these around. Prices do seem lower in the Mid-West, perhaps there are more older Smiths on the market there.

My NIB 19-3 Nickel with box, tools and docs was priced at $650. Due to the trade I made I'm in it at about $550.

I see nice nickel 19s marked around $500-550 at the gunshows around here. I don't see many of them selling quickly for those prices.

Blue guns are in the $450 range.

Model 19-3, nickel plated, purchased at a gun show two months ago - $450 cash. Stocks are not original.
They are out there!
JP

Edited to correct information about the stocks.

Down here, you will not find a 95% nickel M19-3 for under $500. Beat up shooters, yes, but not a real good nickel M19-3.

I also have a question about a Model 19-3, nickel finish with 2 1/2" barrel, Serial No. 10K70XX. It is in real good condition and has very little usage. Can just see a little mark on cylinder from cam. Am interested in approximate date of Manufacture and value.
Any help will be appreciated.

I have a 2.5 inch M19-3, blued, with fairly substantial holster wear, but tight and functions well. Any idea what it would be worth? Serial number seems to be: 45951. ABove that it is just stamped MOD. 19-3

The term "substantial wear" is kinda vague, but in the Reno area, I'd expect to find such a gun on a gun show table or LGS in the $450 - $650 range. Although the gun market seems to be softening, Smiths, especially snubs, seem to be maintaining or still increasing in value. Just my observations.

I just bought a nickel 4" with red ramp front sight, white outlined rear sight, target grips, target trigger and hammer, about 98% with no box for $550.00 and feel like I got a good deal...especially like the sights, hammer, and trigger.

The number on the butt is the serial number. There should be a "K" in number, like 35K1234. You may have to remove the grips to see the number.

I started reading this thread and my mouth was hanging open at the prices, until I saw it was from 2011! I would say the price Charlie got is right in line with what I have seen.
