Opposites really do attract! (.44 Magnums anyway)
I became the proud papa of a 4" pinned and recessed model 629 no dash last week (see earlier thread), serial # N868xxx from 1981. Anyways, I had the chance today to go into the safe and do a photo with its opposite finished twin, my 4" blued model 29-2, serial # N364xxx from 1975. I don't know if anyone remembers the cased pair of Pythons Colt put out some years ago called "snake eyes" which consisted of a pair of 2 1/2" guns one in blue and one in nickle, but think of this as my .44 Magnum version of "snake eyes" (although I'm using Stainless instead of nickle). To further complete the opposite theme, the 29-2 came with a set of smooth factory targets, while the 629 wears checkered targets! There's just something about the 4" .44 Magnum! Here's the pics:

Real nice piece. I have the 629 4" on my wish list. If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for it?

Very nice! I've got a nickel 29-2 and two blue 29-2's, all four inch. I'm right there with you on the 4" 44's. Heck, I love my 4" 624 too!

I did the blue & stanless 4 inch thing early on in the 44 mag "sickness" ...
... then you gotta' do nickel...
then you gotta' do different barrel lenghts.
(KILLER stocks on those magnums Fred!!! )

Very nice pictures so far!
KCOG,
The 629 cost me $580, which I felt was a good deal for a p&r 629.
