Sorry to have taken so long to reply, I've been away from home for a few days.
The grips are not factory, I got them from my Brother in Law who got them off Ebay.

I bought this 19 in 1977. It taught me how to shoot a center-fire handgun.

OK...so is the 3" a snubby? It is to me so I included it! I hope post 1980 guns are welcome in this thread!

Waiting patiently to add the 2 1/2" 19...still looking for the right one.

I always take a beatin' for the stocks but I carry them on occasion and shoot them too. If they were true safe queens I would give them fancy wood stocks. The Diamondback was thrown in for good measure.

Clockwise from the top: Colt Diamondback, Model 547, Model 64-3, Model 66-3, Model 66, Model 66-3, Model 65-3, and a Model 13-2.

Nothin' wrong with those stocks! I'll be the first to admit that wood LOOKS better. But, nothing FEELS better when shooting a revolver than shooting one wearing a set of Hogue Bantams!

Nice revolvers!

my 14-3 ser# 8k849xx returned home today after a 12 year absence

i bought it new in 1976 for PPC

modded it to shoot better through the years, personalized engraved bomar rib, target hammer, combat trigger, rogers combat grips, Behlert micro polish action job, and an OOPS, we armoloyed the whole gun including rib

only gun i kept following the sale of my collection in the early 80's

returned today in trade for some oriental rugs

always came back to this pistol in PPC, had 4 PPC built guns and always came back to this

i'm happy

Here is my Model 19-2. It's a Dec. 1966 gun making it one of the first 19-2's to be released. Love the deep blue of this piece. hate the grips but I can't make up my mind which ones I want so they'll be ok for the time being. I, too, am a sucker for recessed cylinders and pinned barrels. Hard to pass up a Model 19 snubby.

I've shown this gun in other threads, but I like it so much I'm happy to bring it out again here.

Postwar M&P, long action. January 1947.

I thought it was a good time to bring this thread back to the top. There have been a few posts recently that made me think there were some "new" snubbies on the forum that could be added to this thread.

This was one of the threads that inspired me to buy my first K frame snubbie. It is a LNIB 19-3. It is pretty unique in that it has a target hammer and trigger. I also bought a 2 1/2" 66-1 not too long after the 19.

My Combat Magnum snubbies...

19-3

66-1 w/ factory stocks

66-1 w/ Ahrends

I can add this one, which I acquired a few weeks ago. I am absolutely in love with this gun, which is accurate and unusual in equal measure. I posted this one recently in its own thread, but this topical thread gives me the opportunity to bring it out again.

This is the rarely seen Model 56, a gun never sold commercially. About 15,000 were made for the USAF in early 1963 (maybe starting in 1962 -- I'm not sure). Most were destroyed at the end of their service life. Only a few dozen are known to have survived. This model's existence triggered interest in a commercially available K-frame snubnose revolver with adjustable sights, so the two-inch M15-2 was introduced in 1964. The M56 is has some features that differ slightly from the later M15 configuration -- smooth backstrap, ungrooved rear sight foot, horizontally grooved ramp front sight, narrow hammer.

Those are the wrong stocks. This model left the factory wearing PC magnas. I'll pick up the right wood for it one of these days, but I expect I will leave the grip adapter on for range trips.

Bought this new back around 1980, made my own combat trigger. Grips are from Altamont.
