Model 19-3 found a new home. I went back and got it. See Pics.
My new 6" Model 19-3 P&R from 1973.
I went back to the LGS and haggled a bit.
Finally got it for $400.00 OTD.
I haven't had the chance to really polish it up yet.
I will do that tomorrow and post more pics.
Range report to follow.
Thanks again for all your input.

She looks pretty clean. I bought a nickel 6" 19 and thought I wouldn't like the longer tube and found it to be a great range gun. But I only use lite magnums at most. No new combat magnum barrels means no hammer of thor ammo through my forcing cone. I bet you are going to like yours.

I like 19's too with the 6in tube
S&W Mdl.19-4 38/357 Mag, 71K8xxx,6in barrel,
I have a better set of grips but I am keeping them safe and dent free! I call them my dress up grips
Gun is tight as a drum and will shoot the center out of a small bore rifle target target at 25 feet.
I feel this is the best looking, best balanced 38 Cal.gun evey made. The Mdl.27 wins the 357 Cal.championship.

Looks like a nice one. I think you are going to like the Patridge sights on the range. Looking forward to the range report. My 19-4, 4" (not pinned, but recessed) is in the drawer by my computer.

Very nice. Even before polishing it looks clean. The real question is, how did you pass it up on the first visit to the store?
