Default 10-7 How did he do?

Hi gentlemen<

A guy I work with just got a flea market deal $150 for a 10-7 I would put at 85% -90% locks up tight and looks to be hardly shot, but a few scratches on the side plates. Also got a used but very solid Bianchi holster with it. He was worried he was hasty in his purchase. I think he did just fine. What do you think? Sorry, no pictures.

85~90 % well that means 10~15% are missing, thats alot to me.

So to me a fairly common gun in low grade condition for $150 at a flea market I'd run from that if for no other reason than it could be hot.

Decent M10's are common enough I'da held out for a better one,

What's not to like? He doesn't have to pamper it, it's mechanically sound, and the price was right. If it was mine it would get hot a lot, and cleaned only when it really needed it.

Thanks guys,

I told him I would take that deal all day long! Not perfect, but darn nice and I'm sure it's going to shoot like a 10!

About $100 cheaper than you can touch any S&W around here. M10's usually run about $250+ in shooting condition around here.

Far as that goes, the $350 Model 10 at the gun store may be hot.
Or the $250 gun on the guy's table at the gun show.
I wish I could find a couple of shooter grade Model 10s for $150.
Not that I need any more.

Yep... Unless the guy is shaking and looking over his shoulder with sirens running what can you do? use your best judgement.

I'd pick up a couple at that price too!!! Good deal. Steal of a deal IMO. Just view it as a project gun. Find someone to bead blast it or stick a duratuff finish on it... Would be an awesome shooter.
