Default Nickel Bling on an 18-3

This arrived today and I had to show her off. This is a 1972 Model 18-3 that was sent back to Smith for a factory nickel job and the red ramp install. The original receipt for the gun shows a cost of 115.40 plus tax on 10/2/1972. The gun had targets and needed a good polish. I have the original box as well as the work order from Smith showing the red ramp/white outline install. Here she is after the polish and sporting a set of Grasshorn Stags that I had that needed a good home. Someone ground on the model number on the crane and etched their social security and name number under the grips (the serial number is unmolested on the butt so my FFL could run the NICS), buy hey, a little bling and shine can overcome a multitude of sins.

Nice six-shooter! Nothing like nickle plate to give a classic
smith a case of BLING!!!!! And the stags just finish the statement.

That looks wonderful, especially with the stag stocks. I have a pre-18 I intend to have the factory nickel.

I really didn't take to nickle or stainless....until I saw this. WOW. Really a thing of beauty. I think you made a great choice to have this done. I'm not jealous but can I have it when you're done with it?

Thanks...I am thrilled. I did not have it done. It was done by the original owner way back in 1972. I just gave her some new life and a little love.
