Default Nickel 19-3 four inch-My first plated Smith!

I've been searching for a clean four inch Model 19 to complete my standard barrel length three gun set- 2.75"- 4"- 6" for quite some time. Saturday, I stopped a my favorite shop and the weekend guy says- "Glad you came in. I just traded for this." He hands me a gray S&W box with a four inch 19-3 inside. " I haven't wiped it down or anything, and I can't sell it today because the boss needs to enter it in inventory. If you are interested, I'll hold it for you." Darn right!! Bought it this evening. The gun is close to perfect. #9K440XX dates to 1975. Warranty card in the box says it was sold 4/6/78. It has been shot a few times in its life, but obviously spent most of its days protected by its original cardboard box.

The nickel four inch joins my 19-3 six inch from 1971 and 19-5 snub from 1986.
