Oh look...it's SHINY ! Mod 19 Nickel 2 1/2"
I know women who have the OLIS syndrome (Oh look...it's shiny!). I think I may have caught it also. Another nickel S&W followed me home from the Denver show this weekend. Mod 19-4 (1980)

bigmtnman, I feel sorry for you. The "shiny" or "nickel" condition is difficult to understand and even harder to overcome. I have been afflicted with this condition for several years. I have yet to find a "cure". You can temporarily control it by buying more nickel Smiths. But, IT WILL COME BACK as soon as you see another nickel Smith that you do not have or just looks good.
BTW, great looking "snubbie". Stocks look great on it. Oh, my goodness! Now I want another one. It never ends.

Beautiful -4. Have a nickel -3 in the same barrel length and love the shiny look. You have a keeper!

Nice!! Very NICE! I only own one nickel gun but really like how they shine up. Those grips really set it off as others have said. Great buy!

I think a nickel snub 19 looks about as good as it gets. I have a 4 and a 6 also, but I think the snub looks the best.

The first snubby I ever bought was a Model 19-3 nickel with a 3" bbl. It cost $238. OTD(it's been a while). it is one of the most accurate guns I shoot.
The nickel thing just gets worse....enjoy it!

Now that is just nice! I have wondered what my -4 would look like with stags and now I know, think I will be ordering a set for mine. Heres a pic of my dash 4 with it's sister's.

I must be suffering the same thing. One followed me home last week too. Although I am not suffering, I am enjoying every minute.

Here's mine with a set of Patricks stags and a Tyler that was scuffed up but a bit of 400 grit took care of that with some primer and a couple coats of Krylon to paint it up. Has held up well. My prettiest revolver in the tribe. Only improvement to it would be a higher visibilty front sight. Lucky I didn't hurt the finish as I did pack it for a couple of years for my Harley weapon and put quite a few .357's down the pipe. Nickels a pretty tough finish and cleans up well, though I've never done anything more than wax it up.
S&W's and HD's. Can't get any better or more American than that!
Nice family VB and 19's guys! Keep the pics of them shiners coming.

It's amazing how a little different lighting affects the pictures.

I've found MOST 2.5 or 3" revolvers are very accurate for their short barrels and will keep up with my 4" S&W's from the bench or off hand. Makes for a great CC weapon or a trail gun. Might lose a bit of velocity but makes packing one a breeze. Last is they have a cool factor that rates a 10 in my opinion.

I've had a mild case of the disease, and gave in once, but have never been tempted again. I suppose the need for blue is stronger in me.
A 19-4 from 1978. I need to do another picture of it that doesn't reflect the overhead trees and clouds.
