Almost Virgin 19-3 4"
Came across this 2 weeks ago. Box in fair shape w/ tools warranty card, manual, load preformance chart and the wrapping papers.
I was told that this was purchased new and never fired. The only mark on the gun is a small scratch at the very left front of the muzzel. Target grips are perfect as are all screwheads. the fuzzies in the pic are my bad lighting and office dust .
The recoil shield does not have a rim mark on it and the forcing cone along with the ejector area are perfect.
I am just learning but I do not think it has been shot much at all if any. The gun was handled some as I was told the grandkids were shown it now and then. The wrappers are very krinkled and the box has a tear at the thumb break. Box matches gun.
Since I have caught the "bug" it seemed to be a no brainer.
Ser# make her 1970 vintage

Bravo Whiskey, your M-19 is Sweet, it's almost to nice a revolver for someone like me, I have to be able to shoot my guns.
Please tell me that you are going to shoot it from time to time.

Very Nice!
For some reason I see more 19-3's than any version,
I have two dash 3's and both have serials that start 2k,
I am guessing the early 70's was the peak of production for the Model 19.

I stumbled on a 19-2 in 99% a few months ago. No box or papers, but the gun and grip (diamond targets) are perfect. I wasn't gonna shoot it either, but I couldn't resist. Just don't holster it and it will remain cherry.

Very nice revolver, I always liked the plain, no-3Ts models. I don't believe I've ever seen one with a load chart. Could you take a photo of that to post?
Thanks!

That is a great find. You hit gold with that one. I'm one of the few that is glad to hear you are thinking of keeping it as is. I like to have a couple in the safe that are just for taking out and admiring how things were at one point not so very long ago. The world wasn't perfect but darn we sure made some good stuff back then. Cars and guns will just never be the same.

Please find pics of front and reverse side.
S&W made their own ammo for about a decade (?) and I guess pushed it with these included adds/charts.
Sorry for the reflections in the pics..

I found a 19-4, 4" in much the same condition recently. There is a new gun shop in town and a lady brought in a couple of smiths to sell. Neither had boxes. Mine is of 1980 vintage. No target hammer or trigger. No white outline rear sight nor red ramp. I like it it that way. $385 OTD.
