Default The Chief's Chief's Special

My wife calls it the "Chief's Special for a Special Chief". I can't tell if she's messing with me haha!
Sideplate done by Beach Engraving for a whopping $14. Came out nice, with about a 3 degree port list, like me!
I just got a BK grip adapter, but I didn't have time to add before these photos. I have a feeling this little 36 is going to spend a lot of time in my holster.

Chief: I love it when a thread is good for a smile. This one far exceeds in that regard. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Thank you my friends. I have shown it to a couple of guys from work, and I have to agree with them that it looks much better in person.
I have a CS45 that is getting a similar engraving on the slide, only smaller.
It is not an original idea. An old (now deceased) friend of mine was a police chief near my hometown. He had his badge engraved on the sideplate of his model 60, and on the exposed backstrap, his badge number and the date he graduated the academy.

Very nice, Chief. Hope you enjoy it for many years to come. I like to see personalized revolvers. We don't see that many of them here.

My CS Two inch airweight. I carried this in Cuba during the blockade and three tours in SE Asia. A treasured companion.

I've got one of those (no engraving) and it's a great shooter. I got it 33 years ago when my FIL passed away; it was his CCW. A bit long for pocket carry, but it is noticeably easier to shoot than the 2" round butt versions, especially with +P's. Use it well.

Chief that is one fine looking revolver. I'd suggest the
Eagle, Anchor, and Globe on the next firearm. JK JK

Actually, my first tour that was not sea-bound was in Kosovo with a USMC Artillery detachment, and then again in 2003 I went to Afghan with USMC 10th Marines Arty. I have many a globe and anchor around my home.

Curious about a Model 36 snub I saw that was stamped as such, no dash. There was no airweight on the barrel and s# 6774XX. What year would this be and what is a fair price in 85-90%? thanks

The Commodore of CSS-7 actually got up on a table in the Pine Tree Inn in Lahaina, Maui and sand this song. Yep - he got thrown out.

Why would he want to de-value a fine firearm by doing that?
