LETTER RECEIVED...shipped December 6, 1961 to Abercrombie & Fitch, Chicago , Il.
Probably a Christmas Present

I think you just picked up a great revolver!
The seller listed this as a "classic" and I think a lot of potential bidders probably thought it was one of the more recent guns referred to as "classic".

I have a 29-2 with 8 3/8" it is a blast to shoot it on the 200 yard range at my club. I cant hit anything small at that range, but can get a beer can every now an then. I sent a photo of mine to a friend and titled the email "Go Ahead Make my Daaaaaaay" I know real original.

my thoughts exactly.....the only reason i looked at it is because there has been a classic model on GB for $450 or so for awhile and i saw this "classic" had a bid of 750....i thought, why would someone bid 750 on one when there is one on here for 450........well i clicked on it and was like, "whoa, thats not what i thought i was gonna see"

Seller's add a little odd, presuming it's not a 3 dot sight. Doesn't look like one for sure.
Love the diamond grips, very nice shape.

just picked the gun up today. the pres case and tools are on their way via ups ground to my house. should have them in a couple days. overall, the gun is great. two small rub marks on barrel, and a cylinder line...guns has been fired very little...

Serial Number is S 217XXX....i didnt look it up in the SCSW...what is the year of manufacture? i was thinking 1960 or 61
