Default Model 30-1 snubby

I recently came in to the possesion of a mint model 30-1 snubby 32S&W long. Is the 32 long the only thing I can shoot through this?

You can also shoot .32 S&W, which is a shorter cartridge.

I have fired .32 ACP in a number of .32 Long revolvers. The .32 ACP is a semi-rimmed cartridge, which usually gives enough support to headspace in a .32 Long chamber.

You can also use the .32 Colt New Police, which is the same as the .32 Long.

Of all the 6 cartridges you can shoot in a revolver chambered for .32 S&W Long the only two you are likely to find are .32 S&W Long and .32 ACP. Everything else is not commonly found and much more expensive anyway.

Default Hard to find

Thanks for the replys I had to shop around to find some S&W 32long
a gun shop had 3 boxes of 50 at 29 bucks a box so I got some.
Cabella's did not have any so I guess it is not that common.

I buy most of my .32 Long from The Sportsman's Guide online. Fiocchi wadcutters are about $15 for a box of 50, and they run a lot of promotions with free shipping for purchases over $99, etc.

Nice little gun, it's in great condition! The .32 S&W Long and the .32 S&W are fun cartridges to shoot, but ammo can be a bit pricy. If you attend many gun shows, keep your eyes open for older and partial boxes. You can often pick them up for around $10, sometimes less.

Lookin' nice onapar. Here's mine I just picked up about a month ago. A bit worse for wear than yours but I've always wanted a snub .32 and the deal was too good to pass up.

My dream CCW would be a m30 on an m37 frame.

I reload .32 long. It's about as cheap a round as you can get that way.

Default Nice find

I took mine to the range today and wow what a fun little revolver. It was very accurate at five yards.
I also ran in to a guy who reloads the 32 so how lucky can you get he is reloading for me.
I also took a little 30-1 semi auto 22 to the range for the first time and it performed really well with some standard velocity ammo I had laying around.
here is a few pics of the little beauty.

Cool Nice S&W61

Nice little model 61-1, Looks just like the one I bought back in the late 1970's that my wife still has. They went through 2 or 3 changes before before being discontinued, guess a pocket .22 did not sell that well at the time.
