Default Adjustable trigger stop from factory? NON-PC guns

I just got in a very nice 48-4 from a fellow forum member, and it has something that I have not seen before...I had to look in the SCSW to verify it, but I believe that it has a factory option - adjustable trigger stop.

I never knew that these existed....how often do you guys see them?

Have I been missing something all these years, or is this not an option that is seen very often....This is not a PC shop gun (I know what those look like)....and this is not a threaded stud type either....I will try to get a photo for any interested parties.

You've led a sheltered life. Trigger stops were standard for a while on a lot of guns, mostly on K-frames guns as I recall, like 15s, 19s, 67s 66s etc. At lot of the LEOs didn't like them because if adjust too tight or if it came loose and forward, it could tie up the gun, so a lot of departments removed them. You'll find used guns now with them still on or a lot of them with it removed and just a slot there.
Hope that helps some.

Thanks Dick,

Yes, I may have led a sheltered life....I do recall hearing a story about that now that you mention it...I suppose that I have not seen them because they were removed and I was not 'looking' for the slot that was left behind. Thanks for the info.

I think that I will be leaving it in place. If it becomes a problem , then I may have to rethink things...still a really nice 48....and how many 4" barrels do you see anyhow? I have looked a while to find this one...some photos are definitely in order.

Yeah, most people give them a no never mind. I still have the stop on several of my guns and I have never had a problem with them, so I leave them alone.

I'm with you though, a 48 is definately in my future and more exactly a 4"er.
