Default Date question for Model 17-4

From time to time I update my personal database of my firearms and today I realized I never had entered my Model 17-4 into it. I spent about an hour researching topics before making this post. As a new member I appreciated all the information I was able to find. I have a Model 17-4 SN 25K23XX
I couldn't find a thread that listed serial number ranges but I know the -4 would put it 1977-1980 if I read things correctly. Any help narrowing that date down would be appreciated. Also would the diamond grips be the OEM grips for the revolver?

your serial number is 25K...
SCSW 4th lists 25K0001-56K9999 as 1978/1979
1977 ended with 24K9999, so yours is most likely 1978.
A Letter would tell you for sure.
