Deal or no deal - model 36 is good shape
Found local. Guys asking $425 for it. Said s&w dates it to 1964 and it locks up tight and timing is dead on. So what do ya think? Is it a deal?

The hammer and trigger being blued make it look like a reblue. For that money I would pass. Plus the grips show a lot more wear than the metal.

I agree the hammer blue and grip wear are a concern.
I would call that a nice "shooter" and carry gun.
Flat latch is interesting but does not add value in a carry gun IMHO.
If you need a nice carry gun any clean solid Model 36 is worth $350 in good cond ....$425 might be reaching a bit.

There like $175 to $200 to high.. offer them that as it is strictly a carry gun with no collector appeal after the re blue. Kyle
