Pristine Model 15, 2" barrel value
I saw an absolutely perfect Model 15 with a 2" barrel in a case at the gunshop today priced at $599. I was in a hurry or I would have found out more but I do believe the barrel was pinned. Me thinks it's overpriced but it was so sweet I have to go back and try to haggle with the folks, am I correct?

The snubbie 15 is a fantastic revolver, it shoots like a 4".I have one, but would not pay that much for another one. I think that it is at least $100 to high.

Well, when you say "absolutely perfect" that's going to make it more attractive and more attractive has to cost something extra. I'll bet the store gets it. Last Autumn I saw an absolutely perfect 4" 66-2 and the LGS wanted $695. I told the owner that was at least $100 too high and he just looked at me and shrugged.

Maybe with a box, documents and tools - on a clear day with a good tailwind.... I would place it's value alone, as described at about $475 in my area of the Northwest.

If it's got the box I could see $500.

unless you just have to have an absolute perfect 2in M15, that you'd probably then be reluctant shoot, I'd pass on it, I have one that shoots like a lazer and am glad it's not NIB so I can shoot it without having second thoughts about it.

I'm going against the grain on this one. For one of the most handsome revolvers S&W ever made I'd buy it at that price. For a snub you'd be really surprized at their accuracy. Been bugging a friend who owns one and lets it set all alone, gathering dust in the safe to sell it to me as they are one classy looking revolver. Fewer 2" models than the 4"ers. A .38 will easily take someone out, especially with the newer ammo available. The square grip doesn't make any difference for concealment with the right holster, belt and outergarmet. I think its a way better revolver than a 36 or 60 snub as the 15 will blow them away in the accuracy department. If you look on the cover of a box of an old Tyler t-grip you'l see a 2" model 15 on it. A true classic never to be made again. The newer models don't hold a candle to the fit and finish on these 15's. I like adjustable sights on my revolvers for swapping out different ammo. I am not the least bit worried about them getting banged up in a SD situation. If they do you'll probably be so close the sights will not matter. JMO. They are fetching that amount on GB and not in the condition yours. Check it out yourself like I just did.
Have a safe and great weekend everyone!
