Default Model 36 Help Needed

Hi,
I am new to the forum and trying to find my way around.
Recently, I managed to get hold of a Model 36. I am attaching some pictures.
I did a lot of research, but I never saw any Mod 36 with a similar thumb piece. The serial number on the gun starts with the letter D 687xxx
Also, when I removed the handles to clean it I could not use the technique to remove the main spring by placing a paper clip. No hole there and it seems that the main spring is fitted in the handle in a way that it can't be removed.
Any help and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Default Trademark infringement

Smith & Wesson didn't make that. I'd say it's a knock-off that possibly came from the Khyber pass.
The frame and trademark, barrel, hammer, release latch, ejector rod... even the grips are wrong. FYI, the D prefix was not used on the J frame, it was only used on the M&P K frames.

I'd like to see straight on photos of the right and left side of the gun.

You probably need to remove the pin that holds the stirrup to the frame to get it apart.

Hi,
Having done some extra research based on some input, I did find a lot of similarities with the Rossi revolvers. The length of the barrel was not right, the thumbiece is what I saw on some Rossi guns etc...
To cut the long story short, I went back and returned the gun and managed to get a Model 10-7 subby.
A bit bigger in size, but made sure it's a real one.
Many thanks for your help guys.
Have a great day.
