looking for a little history . serial # n71208.

That is definitely in the not too shabby a deal category. My first handgun was a 29-2 6 1/2" blue. Still have it. Bought it in 1971, for straight retail. I happened to be walking through the sporting goods section of the local Montgomery Wards when the guy was putting it out. They had special ordered it for a customer, but he woman's husband didn't want it, so they put it out. They were not gouging on those guns like virtually everybody else was at the time. I was on that like a rat on a Cheeto.

I just sold a 29-2 with 8 3/8" barrel. Cool guns and highly sought after.
