Should be just fine with +p. Practice with standard pressure, carry the +p. Practice with the +p now and again. You would have to shoot alot of +p to "harm" the revolver, but take the money and use it for alot more standard pressure. BTW, you should get better velocity in the 3" barrel then in the standard 2" with the +p. Actually, you'll get better velocity even with standard pressure ammo. BTW again, I love the 3" J-frame. Enjoy yours.

Officially NO your M60-1 was not rated for +P's when it was made. Then years later the Factory stated that as long as you have a Revolver that has a model number stamped inside the yoke area (which yours does) then it is acceptable to fire a limited number of +P's form the gun without damage.
Also, just to ease your mind there have been tens and tens of thousands of +P's fired form thousands of J-Frames and I can honestly say that I have never heard of one being ruined by their use. And just so you know, today's +P loading's with the exception of a few like Buffalo Bore's and Speer's Gold Dot, are not loaded to maximum SAMMI spec's. and are not all that hot to begin with. In fact, Buffalo Bore's NON +P 158 grain LSWCHP is 100 feet per second faster than Remington's, Winchester's and Federal's 158 grain LSWCHP +P's are out of a 2" barrel! IMHO the "Big - 3 ammo makers +P loading's are pretty mild. If you fire a few each practice session and do most of your shooting with standard velocity ammo you are good to go.
