Default My humble Smith Wheelgun collection

Here is a pic of my collection of Smith revolvers that I have been working on for 38 years. The one at the top is a 28-2 but it has been converted to 45 colt . Let me know what you think of the rest. The Heritage model 29 is the only unfired piece in the photo.

Very nice collection! It is a nice assortment. I am a fan of the 45 Colt. When you had the conversion done, were the 625s hard to find?

I like your collection. Converting the M28-2 to .45 colt, nice touch.

Actually no 625's were harmed in this gun build. Just a barell from a 1955 45 target model with a custom front sight and the cylinder was rechambered to 45 colt. I just use this gun for fun and plinking so no heavy loads have been fired in it . I have some old model blackhawks for for that.

Nice group. I have a small group and have yet to get them all in one shot. 45 Colt is one of my favorites as well. 200 gr lswc with 6.0 Bullseye is working well for killing paper and clay birds.

It is a 357 19-7 K-Comp 3" ported with front tritium sight from the Performance Center. It has a heck of muzzle flash in low light but the ported barell make it very controlable and the trigger is excellent in double or single action.

From one gunner in the southeast to another SouthernGunner, that's a fine collection you have there ! I like the big bores too and am looking to acquire another.

I've got a converted 28-2 also, mines in 44 special. Seems us southern boys like that kind of stuff. I've got a strong feeling that we aren't alone!

With that many big boys, surely you're a bullet caster and reloader ???

You may be able to tell that Mr Kieth had a lot of influence on my caliber choices as most of my calibers start with a Four
Probably as many as there is in my double action batch, there is one 1974 model Blackhawk 45 Colt/45 ACP, One Bisley 45 convertible, one Vaquero Bisley 45 colt, one Bisley Flatop 44 special 4 5/8",one Blackhawk Flatop 44 special, one 3 1/2" Sheriffs model Vaquero44 special, one stainless Virginian Dragoon 44 Mag with fixed sights, one Abilene 357 mag,one Beretta 45 Colt engraved model 1873,one Uberti 357 with the old west finish that make it look 125 years old,one Bisley single six in 22 l.r., one 50th aniversary single six 1953-2003, and one Colt ArkansasTerritory Sesquicentenial Frontier Scout 22 l.r. I think thats all but there may still be a straggler or two not accounted for.

I couldn't afford to shoot anthing but 22's if I didn't cast and reload.
I almost hate to go to any gun shops because there is so many orphans that need to be adopted and I have a hard time saying no

Nice collection. I like the 29-9. Are you ever going to fire it?

That particular gun has been promised to my Son, so I think that I will let him decide if he wants to shoot it or not.
