28-2 rehab
I picked up this 28-2 the other day. I should have taken before and after pictures but you will have to settle for after. The revolver was covered in rust on the right side due to poor storage by the previous owner. The 28-2 locks up like a bank vault there is hardly a turn line. Stocks number to the revolver. Briefly thought about a refinish but then I wouldn't want to shoot it. S/N is N98355.

Nice! I would not mind finding one in need of some TLC at the right price. Looks good and no worryies warming her up.
Is that a "lazy" & ? I'm fond of those.

Personally, I would not think twice about sending it in for a re-blue. The old lady deserves a new dress---then take her dancing.
Blessings

Keep her as is, use her for what she was made for, and enjoy every minute without any worry. You found an outstanding shooter.

I bought a 6" 586 from a forum member recently for $345. It had rust and pitting issues on the exterior, as if it had been in a holster or a glove/tackle box for several years. I cleaned it up, removed the rust and put 100 rounds through it. It is mechanically sound and a tack driver at 25 yards. It is now my house/beater gun. If I defend my home/self/family with it and it goes to an evidence room, no big loss.
