Default Pinto matched pair **now with orig. receipt**

Well, they are not Pintos and not a true matched pair, but I did pick these both up in the same transaction. One is a blued 18-4 and the other is a stainless 67-1. They both still had some of the original grease on them and appear almost unfired. I am now the second owner and they both fill voids that were in my collection. I had been wanting a K-22 Combat Masterpiece for awhile. Any ideas as to which is more desirable in today's market?

More desirable? I want them both! The 22's are really sweet.......but so is that M-67. I guess it all depends on who you ask.

How's that for no help at all?

papajohn,
Thanks, I have always been into K-22's but this 67 is really growing on me. I never really knew they were out there, with the red ramp front sight, the blued rear sight, and the stainless finish. In .38 Special and with a 4" barrel, it is just the right size and I think an overall neat package. I am looking forward to shooting it.

Default the whole package....almost

I had obtained just the guns earlier in the year from an estate. The contents of the house went to auction several months later and I was able to get the boxes and the ammo. Figure the odds. Inside one of the boxes was the original sales receipt. Check out those 1980 prices!

So what is missing? The two holsters, six rounds of .38 and 100 rounds of .22. I can live with that. The revolvers are absolutely mint and I can assume the missing rounds were the only ones fired. Any idea what type of holster is a "1-C526"?

The .38 ammo is pretty cool with the S&W headstamp on them. A must for any display case with cartridge holes featuring a gun that was made during the years S&W marketed ammo.

The beautiful desk came out of the same estate. It is a "benchmade" piece with walnut and tiger maple.

Why did you call them "Pintos" in the title?

Interesting find for sure. Like that they also got a 10% discount on the accessories. One would have thought the all stainless would have gone for more than the blued .22, but 1/3 more???

Beauties.

Dick,

I called them pintos to attract some attention to the thread. A pinto, when referring to revolvers, is one that has a blued frame and nickel barrel and nickel cylinder. Or vice versa. Pintos seem to be all the rage, and rightly so. I was really stretching it when I referred to the pair as a pinto. Sorry for the confusion.
