I got this in trade from a coworker last year. I don't think it had ever been cleaned. I didn't know stainless would rust either lol. I've got it cleaned up good but I'd like to high polish the finish. I've used mothers polish and flitz but I'm not happy with the polish. What can I use that will work better/easier. K frame 357's are the sweetest shooting guns ever.
There is a guy on Gunbroker that uses a buffer and charges $165 for it. I have done quite a few and by hand with mothers and in 90-120 minutes they look like a mirror. Patience friend, patience.
I polished a 66 some time ago out of sheer boredom and dissatisfaction with the factory finish. (It's a shooter.) I found that the small polishing balls found at automotive finish stores work wonders in a drill set at low speed. A Dremel tool (also at slow speed) saved a bunch of time in the tight spots.
Mothers and Simichrome seemed to work equally well.
