I bought my Model 19-4 from a dealer who sells LEO seized firearms.
It came complete with case numbers engraved on it.
Nickel, I did not notice that the barrel was a stainless Model 66 unit till I got it home.
A gun with history.
After a year or so, I started having some FTF issues...also, found it had carry up issues as well.
Looking for a local gunsmith, I found that Andy Horvath lived about a half hour from me.
I dropped the Model 19-4/66 off with him two weeks ago.
Picked it up this week.
He fixed the end shake, installed an oversized hand, and replaced the mainspring and strain screw. He had to turn the barrel shoulder and work the forcing cone to improve the gap.
Now, it locks up perfectly, and is as tight as a drum...can't wait to get it out to the range...
