My Pinto was one of 5
I got the paperwork back from Roy Jinks (S&W Historian). My model 19-3 2.5 inch barrel has a nickel frame and ejector rod. The barrel, cylinder and rear sight are blued. The gun is one of five shipped to Bonitz Brothers of Harrisburg on January 27 1972. I consider it NIB. What can I expect a collector to pay for it? I tried to attach a picture but I keep getting "not a valid image file", it worked in the past. One can see the pictures on MODEL 19-3 NICKEL/BLUE 2.5 INCH BARREL thread.

That means the picture is to large. You can reduce it's size, or upload it to a photo hosting site like photobucket.com. If you do that, you can use the "BB Code" that they provide to enter it directly into your post.
I would love to see pictures!

Congratulations! I sold a similar 2.5" 19-3 two-tone (blue frame, nickel barrel/cylinder) in 97% condition offline for $1100. It probably would have brought a bit more ($1200-$1300?) on the open market. I agree with VM. I wouldn't take a dime less than $1500 for your package. For what it is worth, I have its 4" brother for sale in the classifieds.

The reverse pinto's always bring more. Start at $1500 and see how it plays out.

Just captured
Well, well...
I just picked up a 19-3 2.5 inch Nickle frame with blue barrel, sight and cylinder. Ser 1K5391X. So it's right next to the original posters as far as serial order. Mines not NIB though. It's been shot a lot, and loved.
Just thought I'd let you know.

Congratulations.
I've lived in and around Harrisburg since 1974. Bonitz Bros. is still in business.
