I love all the K frames!!!
However, I was going to mention my favorite is my Model 65-3, 3" barrel K-frame . . . perfect pointing, fast from the holster, great in matches and easy to carry.
BUT . . . the venerable M&P K frames have not been represented on this thread yet . . . and I love my old 62 year-old 5" M&P.
A great shooting and very good looking K-frame indeed . . . so here's a tip of the hat for this awesome and huge-selling staple of the S&W revolver line up for soooo many years!

Greetings-
For .357 magnums, it would be a 2.5" Model 19-2 or 19-3. For K frames in general, I prefer a K 22, especially an early one.
Respectfully,
Mike Q.

Not the most useful of all that I own, but the most enjoyable and the one I shoot the best is my 14-3. It just makes me happy.

Without a doubt my 3" Ashland 66-2! Them K's are the most nimble revolvers ever made. Got a GS to go too so no time to upload pics.
Some real beauties here!

My 3" 66-3 with Spegel "Boot Grips"...the proportions of barrel length to frame and grip size are perfect.
Its like a mini-27 3 1/2inch ...... that handles better and quicker.
Now I know I'll never find a 3 inch 19 but that would be..soooooo nice!!!

It`s a tough call to say what my favorite K frame is, but Ill have to go with my Model 10-5 with the 4 inch barrel. There are so many reasons I love this gun, versatility probably being the biggest reason. This is a gun that I actively carry.

I would really like to know where to get the speedloaders seen in the original post, are they aluminum or?

Aluminum, some folks smooth the edges a tad so they are less likely to mar the wood.

I've delayed answering the question because I actually couldn't come up with an answer to the question! Or more accurately, the answer was non-specific: Whichever one I am holding at the moment.
But forcing myself to take a stance, I asked myself, "And which one would you like to be holding if you had your druthers?"
The answer usually comes back to one of these guns, which were all shipped between 1947 and 1949:
A snubnose M&P from early 1947:
Or this narrow-rib K-22 from 1947:
Or this narrow-rib K-38 from 1948:
Or this narrow-rib K-32 from 1949:

Howdy
This one is probably my favorite. Model 1905, First Change, shipped July 1908.
I like this one a lot too. K22 shipped January 1922.
Here are a few more K frames that I like too.
At this point I have so many nice old K frames that I keep swearing I have to stop buying them. Unfortunately I keep running into one more that I just have to have. I won't eat up any more band width with more photos.

Torn between 2 revolvers
I can't have a favorite I need 2.
My 67 No dash 4" and my 19-4 Blued 4"
Both are sweet! The 67 has an action that is supurb. The 19-4.. well it's a .357

What a fabulous bunch of K frame guns on this thread....both old and new!
At some point ya gotta believe S&W will revive the no longer produced K frame models to their old glory and provide us with the many options that used to be....
Long live the K frame!!
