Pawnshop rescue 2" 15-3
Picked it up today. It had ugly period correct plastic grips, which I swapped with a pair of magnus when I got home. 3k serial number range. Definitely a shooter/carry gun! Sorry for the crappie cell phone pics!

Told this story many times. I was wanting/looking for a 15 snub. Did not have any luck. Did end up with a 10-5 R.B. snub. It was a settle for gun. (my only 2") I like it anyway. Enjoy your little 15! Bob

What's not to like S&W, 2" and a J-Frame, that about sums up perfection.

You might want to know that the Model 15 is a K frame, not a J frame.
Just sayin'

Just picked up a Combat Masterpiece M 15-3. 4 inch barrel. The grips it came with were the first thing to go into the trash (duct tape would have been an upgrade). Wanted a vintage S&W and this was the most affordable desirable good condition I could come up with. New Grips on order, staying with original service grips. Next step is a complete disassemble , inspection, cleaning and reassemble. Bottom line ,, I like it.

A dealer that attends the local gun shows has a very nice blued 15-3 2" I've been watching for the past 2 years. He's asking $650 (+ tax and BG fee) won't budge on the price. If he'd go $550 OTD, I'd take it home...but I am guessing so would have many others.

I never saw a Smith with plastic grips. Colt did for a while on their D frames, called it "Coltwood".

The grips that were on it were not factory. I replaced them as soon as I got home..

Hey whoa just a minute sir! A model 10 round butt 2" is in no way a settle for gun. That is a divinely inspired snub revolver my friend.
