Any western style holsters for the 686 6" ?
I know it's not a cowboy action shooter... but are there any western style holsters for the 686 6"? I love my 686-4 6" and I love tooled leather, and gunbelts with ammo loops (and speedloader pouches too). Call it a "modern cowboy" rig.

Check out El Paso Saddlery. They make several of their western rigs for DA revolvers. Belts available separately with lotsa loops, too.

I have had holsters made by El Paso Saddlery, very high quality work. I recently bought a new 686 4" and was looking at the Tom Three Persons and the Austin. Nice belts too. You will have to wait, they take awhile to get the product to you. Good customer service on returns. Look up Tom Three Persons on Goolge, hard to believe people have lives like he did. Quite a guy.

I discovered that a 6" Python fits perfectly in a 4.75" Colt SAA holster. I bet the 686 will do the same.

I just got a Tom Threepersons holster from El Paso Saddlery for my 28-2. They must be slow because it only took a about 3 weeks.

3 weeks is good turn around for them. Maybe I should call them up. Want one with fish scales.

I'm also thinking about an El Paso Threepersons and/or an Austin but for an N-Frame. I'm seriously tempted to order an Austin for my 6 1/2 inch 29-5 full-lug Classic and a Threepersons for the five inch 629-3 full-lug. Then I could carry any of my six or 6 1/2 inch N-Frames in the Austin or any five, four or three inch N-Frame in the Threepersons. Sound like a good idea or not?

Sounds like a plan. Go for it! I have a El Paso Saddlery Tom Threepersons holster that I ordered back around 2000 for my 6" 28-2. It is beautifully made. I am very pleased with the quality of craftsmanship. It fits my 28-2 perfectly. And... my 5" 625-2 also fits the holster. I am now saving my pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters so that I can order one of the EPS holsters for my new to me 4" 28-2, which I traded for just a few weeks ago.
