19-3 nickel Gun Show Score! pics
I picked up this nickel 19-3 4" barrel last weekend at local gun show. It needed some TLC on the Nickel but had original box and look virtually unused. It had been fired very little if at all. A widow was selling off her husband's collection. I got it for $575 OTD. (no background check either)
I cleaned up the finish this week with some Flitz and Mothers. Included are before and after pics of the stock area to show what the finish was like before I started on it. Thanks to many on the forum for the flitz/mother's mag tips. The Nickel under the stocks was pristine.
Range Report.
I fired it yesterday using .357 158gr Bitterroot valley ammo. At 25' I put 6 rounds using double action in a 1" circle!! I'm not that good! This is the nicest revolver I have fired to date!! Even better than my model 67.

Simply beautiful classic Combat Magnum there!
I've got my eye out for a nice nickle .357, hope I'm as lucky as you.

Good job on the clean-up. Flitz is the ticket on nickel guns.

A really nice job. I'm afraid I would mess it up. Takes some talent to make them shine like that without damaging the finish. I have a 2.5 inch, 19-3 nickel, box and papers. Thank goodness mine is pretty new and I don't have to take a chance on messing it up.

That was the very first revolver i ever owned. I own many more smiths now but would never part with it. I know you will enjoy it.
