This has probably been gone over, but is a 1976-77 era 10-5 capable of shooting .38spl +p rounds safely and without self-destructing? I'd heard to look for a screw in front of the trigger guard. Mine does not have one. My plan is to keep a speedloader of +p defensive ammunition in my bedroom with the gun, and that will be my home defense set. If I do that, I do want to be able to occasionally practice at the range with +p to have a feel for it. Besides that regular .38 is fine with me
What's the verdict on the +p?
