"S" Prefix Model 29-2 Stock Question
Would the stocks pictured below be correct for a Model 29-2, 6 1/2" barrel, blued, serial number S279XXX? Would anyone be able to date this revolver?

S279XXX is likely around 1966 or 67 based upon the tables in the Standard Catalog. I have a 1965 Model 57 that shipped with "Cokes" and I've handled Buddy Hackett's 1968 built Model 57. It had "Cokes".

Coke bottle stocks were phased out beginning in early 1966. Based on the serial number, I would "guess" your Model 29-2 shipped in 1967 and would have had diamond target stocks made of Goncalo alves (see photo below of Model 57 shipped in July 1966).
