Pictures of my 4" 29-2 With Leather

Here are some pictures of my late model 4" 29-2. I bought this gun off of Gunbroker in December and it came with Ahrends retro target grips. I wanted a set of original targets and bought these from fellow forum member Weatherby. He suggested that I post pictures of my new gun so here they are. The holster is a Tom Threepersons style made by a good friend of mine who makes holsters only as a hobby. As you can tell his workmanship is outstanding. Thank you for looking at my pictures.

Better watch this Weatherby guy. He sold you some correct and beautiful grips. Next he'll be talking you into having it engraved like his outstanding N frame...
Beautiful gun, beautiful grips, outstanding photography! You are rightfully proud....

Great looking 29-2. It's in my favorite barrel length too. The leather is nice as well. The perfect combination! Congratulations!

Thank you all for the kind comments and especially to Weatherby for selling me the grips and encouraging me to post the pictures. I am glad that he got to see the grips on my gun.

To my eyes the 4" 29 is the epitome of S&W revolvers. If I was limited to a single revolver it's what I would have.
I am extremely envious and hope to one day have one of my own. Your friend is an outstanding leathersmith, thank you for sharing.

Love it. Sweet. I'm also a fan of the 4" bbl on the N-frames.
It just screams, "I mean Business"... Very nice holster as well.

Looks identical to mine, and my El Paso holster looks about the same, too. A great rig and fine pics.

Very nice match up with beautiful Mod 29 and great holster. I have two 4" 29's and like em a lot. I also really like my 4" Mod 57 .41Mag; a little less recoil and a lot of fun to shoot.
