Model 29-2 4 inch Blued/Price?
Hello everyone ,it’s been a while !
My question is how much are the Model 29-2 4 inch Blued Pinned /Recessed 44 mags going for ?
I have one that I may be selling out right or may want to trade for a pre lock 629 factory ported 6 inch plus a few bucks ,once I come up with a price !
It is near mint !
No Box or Papers
I will try to get pics as soon as I figure out how !
Thank You !

That gun as discribed should sell for 1000.00. Plus or minus a hundred. Good luck. You will probably regret selling it someday soon.

Oh man, to me that model is the ultimate definition of a S&W revolver. I thnk it's the most aesthetically pleasing and chambered in the perfect, those expensive, caliber. I only wish I was in a position to get yours or one like it. I accumulate, not collect, and shoot my guns. To me the 29 is pleasant with specials and not too bad with magnums depending on the loading.
Good luck to your sir.

I just shot my 4" 29-2 today. We finally have nice weather, so I ventured out to the outdoor range and went through ~100 full power rounds. My hand is a little beat up, but the steel plates sure were singing.
Wonderful firearm.

I collect beautiful N-frames which I don't shoot. I also buy well-used N-frames that I DO shoot. I have a trio of Model 29s; 4, 6 1/2 and 8 3/8 inch barrels. It's fun to go to the range and run the same load through each in turn. The 4" is a real hand-banger with full-house magnums, the 6 1/2 more reasonable and the 8 3/8 is almost mild. I hadn't really appreciated the difference until I played that game. I shoot with the big checkered target stocks, but I wear batting gloves to avoid checkering rip.

I paid $750.00 for one not too long ago, but yours is in nicer shape. I'd say $950-1000 around here.
Mine for comparison. This is what it looked like when I got it.
But a little work with Flitz and Ren Wax and it's a little more presentable.
The grips are still kinda funky but look better than they did.

You will soon be looking for another nice one like that not long after you part with it. Been there, done that. $1000.00 is not out of the question.
