Two Model 19-2s with a 5-inch barrel and nickel finish. The first photo shows one shipped as a test revolver for the Florida Highway Patrol in 1969 and the second photo shows one shipped for Bob Loveless, the well known knife maker, in 1965.

Those are awesome, I can imagine they are fairly uncommon, anyone know of approximate production numbers?

I don't know if anyone knows the production number, but based on the number I have seen over the years, it is probably fifty or less. Also, I have never seen one with a bright blue finish, only nickel.

dang... Been thinking of turning my 19-6 into a 5 incher. It's currently 4" so I'd have to get a 6" barrel for it, first. Or try trading it for a -5 or -6 that already has the 6" barrel. Strictly for my own, wouldn't ever expect to get even close to my money out of it if I were to sell it.
Those sure are sweet...

Those look good enough that I would think about someday turning my 19-4 6" gun into a 5" gun...
