price question for 27-2 stag grips
I bought a 27-2 in good shape, 4 in barrel, it came with a set of eagle stag grips I paid $550. While they are in great shape, they just don't do it for me. I am just not sure if they are american elk or sambar stag, and I am unsure of the age too. I attached two pictures of them. Let me know you think of a fair price for the grips, thanks in advance

AJE/Eagle imported a lot of material from India/Asia. They're likely real Sambar stag.

I have Elk stag grips,by Grashorns Grips, on several of my revolvers excellent fit and finish. If I remember correctly the price was $145.00 per set.
You may also want to check Gunbroker or E-bay for current auction prices.

I think you could get 125-150 for them if you decided to sell. Me, I'd get a set of period correct magnas and put the stags in the drawer. I'll bet you regret selling them after they are gone! Particularly when you buy that 3 1/2" nickel 27 you've always wanted.....wait, that's ME!

+1. I had a set that came on a Model 28. Sold them to make a little extra $ for another gun deal. I regret it every time I look at my new 3 1/2" nickel 27-2. They'd look perfect on it.....
