Performance Center?
Just spoke to S&W about having the carry comp package done to my M58 they told me they could do it to send it to them and they would quote the work done and price. Is this normal procedure, seems to me they could quote a price by e-mail or some way other than sending it to them.

Don't worry
I had them redo a 586 that to say the least was butchered. Here are the before and after shots.

I have sent in several pistols to the Performance Center for their services, and that is the procedure they used. I was extremely pleased with all of the work. Jim Rae is pleasant to work with, and I have two pistols there now.

howdy, I sent my 29-2 in 2 months ago and have still not got any kind of quote to fix it, the trigger pin broke.I am a little upset about it.I have called twice and all they say is that it is in the system...2 months? 'cmon! One guy told me they do 10- 15 guns a day..if that is the case I think my gun would be up there pretty dang close!Oh well. That 586 looks pretty sweet!

They won't price services until they see what kind of condition your gun is in. That way if it's condition warrants additional work/items, they are not stuck with either losing money or an unhappy customer.

That's fine i don't have a problem with that,it's the 2 month thing that I don't like.I think I should at least have had a quote by now.If they are that busy maybe they need to hire some help!

Isn't that the case now days, you just can't seem to get a straight answer out of anyone for fear of reprisal. Just want to get some work done, when I talked to Smith it's ok they can do it but you have to send it in for a quote. That's fine but an indefinite wait with no response is not going to cut it. Agin I'll try a different approach. Good luck to those in limbo!
