Sorry no pictures yet.
I have a six shot revolver that was my father's and now is mine. In researching threads on this forum, I found one thread from Freedy1 back in April of '10 about a similar revolver.
Mine has the serial number 276xxx in several places. There is a patent date on the but of the grips that is Oct 5 1917. The Patent dates on the barrel go from 1890's through 19teens.
The grip is older than that shown in the Thread from Freddy1, with a semicircular bump up where the grip meets the body. There are two brass? fasterners that hold the grips to the frame. There are NO stampings on the frame above, below or behind the cyinder. When the cylinder is swung out, there is a stamp on the inside of the frame; it is 1956.
The pistol is in need of a good cleaning but a friend suggest it should shoot well once cleaned.
What is this revolver? A K-22 or a 22/32 heavy frame target?
From when does it date?
Unfortunately, I did not get the story on it from my father before he passed, but he did serve in Korea, though this is not related to that service.
Thanks.
