Default Model 13-3 Nickel

I've been looking around for info on my 13-3 nickel and have not found much info on it. I know the 13-3 was the last FBI wheel gun but that was the blued version. Was the nickel version manufactured for the civilian crowd.

The gun was part of the their overall sales line -- and as with all their models at the time, many of the carbon steel guns were put out with the nickel finish, rather than blued. Note too, there is a category between "duty" and "civilian" -- many departments allowed their officers and patrolmen to purchase "off-duty" guns off an approved list. The 3" 13 would have been on many "off-duty" lists for the guys who would otherwise have been using 4" guns on-duty.

That is what got me looking for info. Seems when they list most of the guns they do not mention the 13... and when you go to look at holsters for the 13 you need to find a model 65. I could understand it if it was an old design with old technology but its not. I'm just glad I got a hold of one because it has such a smooth action and accurate.

It came with the 13, it looks like it had lots of use. I don't know much about it or who made it but it fits the gun good. As for the love part..it is right by my bed..lol. Just found the holster on the internet.
