Model 28 Markings
I have a pristeen model 28-2, serial #N523xxx that is too "new" looking to be all correct. It came with pacmyers, but my question is that it has two stampings on the inside of the right grip frame, a K inside a circle and an R inside a triangle also the number 5433. Are these factory refinish notations? There are no signs, that I can tell, that it is refinished. Appreciate your comments.

Not sure about the markings (my understanding is that the factory would stamp with a star if they did rework), put picturse sure would help! Does it have a bright blue or matte finish? Are the letters and stampings clear and crisp? Is there any sign of dishing around the screw holes? Are the hammer and trigger still case colored? All are reblue indicators....

The stampings you describe are normal for a revolver made in the 70s and do not indicate a rework or refinish.
