+1 on that. I only shoot cast lead SWCs in my Smiths and POI=POA as best I can tell.
In my experience, I've never shot better with jacketed bullets.
My guess: the J and JHP ammo is usually lighter (say 125 vs 158), the lighter loads are usually 'hotter' - loaded with more powder. Unless the weights of the bullets are identical, I would attribute any shooting difference to the technique - especially - heeling, anticipating the recoil, or follow-through. Again, I'm just guessing...
