Default Presentation Stock/Grip question

I know smooth targets and regular presentation scalloped on both sides.
What would these be classified as Early presentations? something else?

They have a football relief on the left panel but scalloped on the right
All three sets are silver washer

Until someone comes along with more definitive info, I've seen this variation on presentations and targets made in the 1983 ('ish) timeframe based on the stamped date on the right grips. My 1980's vintage grips from before and after that time don't have the scoop on the right grip.

The stocks with the cutout on the right panel were made for anniversary and commemorative revolvers. See photo below of S&W's 125th anniversary Model 25-3.

Those shown in your upper photo are true "Presentation" Stocks. The additional starboard side relief is used so as to not obscure stampings and /or engraving that may be present on the sideplate. These were sold concurrently with "Target Stocks" that do not have the Presentation relief. You will find these stocks on those with both the "Football" and "Scollop" cartridge / speedloader relief on the port side stock. Both checkered and smooth stocks will be found in this pattern.

It would not be an inaccurate description to call these Early-Smooth-Football-Presentation Stocks.
