Default inherited k22 ?

just joined the forum and am trying to find out the year of a 22LR pistol I recently inherited....from some research it appears to be a k22 Outdoorsman but I'm not sure...it has a serial number starting with the letter K....Is there a website I can go to and find the date it was made by the serial number....any help will be appreciated.....thanks

Look on the butt of the gun and post the serial number K352xx leaving the last two digits as X. Someone here will be able to get very close to the year it was made. Photos help a lot too.

K22's are premium handgun for any collection. Most people that have one end up getting another...

Since the serial begins with the letter K it is a post war K22 not the pre war Outdoorsman .
Pics and the serial will help determine more.

That serial is closer to 1964,
Open the cylinder and look below the barrel area on the frame,

If its .22lr caliber with a 6" barrel your gun should be stamped as a 17-2
If the barrel length is 4" it should be stamped 18-2.

Original grips would be walnut with a diamond shape by the mounting screw.

They are great shooters and many on the forum love the P&R Model 17's as I know I do. They are great for the range as you can practice to your hearts content for not much money for ammo.
