S&W 19-3 in 38spl only
looking for some info on a S&W I picked up a few yrs ago. It's a 19-4 in 38spl only with a 6in bl in nickel.

Typically, our .357 magnums made for foreign gov't. police forces were sent over as .38's.
That has happened on various models.
Maybe yours is one of those ?

Nice find..Not a very common revolver here in the U.S.
I worked with the Turkish Police/Security Forces up near the Iraq-Turkey border for a year and saw several blue 4" model 19's in .38 Spec.

Yes, an unusual and pretty rare find.
That ranks up there with the Model 68, done for the CHP only.

Is the ejector rod completely enclosed by the shroud or is it exposed?

snw19_357 is going somewhere with this and I for one am interested where it goes. I've seen the 586 in .38 spcl for sale, but not the M-19.

There where .38 Spl marked Model 19's made (for the same reason the 586's were) but not any 6" 19-3s I have heard of.
S&W surprises me everyday so I'm curious.
