Smith & Wesson 27-2
Hello folks,
since I passed at that 28 with 8 inch barrel ( Model S&W 28 8 3/8 S.F.P.D ) It was a real Frankenstein
I came accross this 27-2
It looks really nice
here are some photos
let me know
Seller is asking for 750* circa 920$
I'm pretty sure I can still take off 50* and it will be about 850 USD
no box or paperwork

Looks like a nice one to me. It's what? A six-inch barrel? I've got a couple, one with a five inch, the other with a three and half inch. They are both great shooters.
Nice diamond grips on that one too.

Fixed it for you! The grips alone are worth $350-$400.

Thanks. I've never actually seen a set of "coke" grips. I have no idea what they look like.

thanks guys!
yes it's a six inch
In Italy this gun is classified "Sportiva", you can own up to 6 classified this category and 3 "Common"
I still have space for 2 "Sportive" so it would be great!
I know the diamond grips are expensive, but are they correct for a 27-2? I have read they were shipped with Magnas
If anything looks strange let me know. If all is fine I'll probabily call up the Seller and order it!
Cheers

They're not correct for a 27-2, but they're very desirable. Those stocks were supplied on the .44 Magnum and the Model 57 (.41 Mag) until about 1966.

Basically what s&wchad is saying is BUY THE GUN! I'm sure someone here on the forum will have the magnas you need and someone will want those beautiful Cokes....you could end up having the gun for half of your purchase price.....

Go for it!!! I have a 28 no dash 6" from 1960. Great shooter, and if that is what you want it for, you would not be disappointed. Good luck, and let us know how you make out. Bob

Buy it and KEEP THE COKES.
They are not going down in price.
I would keep them on the gun if it were me.
If you have to have Magna's for it, buy a set but don't part with those Cokes. After you see that gun wearing Magna's you would put the Cokes back on....
