I have Model 36 I purchased from a PA Fish & Boat WCO, S/N 520xxx guessing sometime in 1966, he said these were the issued carry guns of the time. Blued, Square butt, 1 7/8", diamond grips, non flat cylinder release, pinned barrel. Does anyone know if these would have been purchased by the State then issued to Conservation Officers or perhaps purchased from a dealer by the state? New here, not sure how detailed the S&W records would be?
