a friend got a 15-3 about a year a go,nickel finish with a 2"barrel.the cylinder on it was recessed and i suggested to him it was a .357 instead of a .38 cylinder.the cylinder did hold .357 shells, although i don't think he ever fired any out of it. he ended up passing the gun down the road ,and saw the fellow who picked it up the other day ,and that fellow stated he called smith and Wesson and was told it shipped as is,with the .357 cylinder. he told my friend he is getting a letter to that effect. was this a mistake made at the factory?except for the cylinder ,its a regular ,2" nickel 15-3. whats the thoughts on this ?any and all comments, information welcome. before i forget it also had a target trigger and hammer on it as well.
