I have a SW Model 37 (38 chiefs special airweight) 5 shot revolver in the box, not sure if it was ever fired?

2 inch barrel

Can anyone tell me approx what it might be worth?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the quick reply! So if I don't have papers and selling it used will a gun shop give me $250, $200? What would be the best way to sell it? It's is actually a gun my mother found in her house.

Without seeing the gun it's hard to put a price on it, but here goes... A decent 37 will sell for around $400 so a gun shop will probably offer you $200.

Welcome to the Forum
Based on your description, I think you could easily sell it for $400 plus shipping right here in our Forum Classifieds.
You'll need to take some excellent pictures.
Good Luck

Hello mandrews,
Last Sunday, the 19th., a model 37, 2 inch, blue, rated at
95%, stocks numbered to gun, original box and tools, also numbered to gun, sold on Auction Arms for $392 + $15 shipping.
I'd say VM is about as close as you can get.
Hope this helps.
teesur.
