Wink Help w/age of H'way patrolman

I'm new to the forum and say hello to everybody,I live in Buenos Aires,Argentina, my line of guns are the military trainers in .22, but have also many other pieces and most of my revolvers are S&W-
A couple of months ago I bought a minty Highway Patrolman in 6in, the serial number is S-3148x, can anybody help me with the date the piece was manufactured??? thks a mill

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on owning an iconic firearm! saemetric has it correct, 1968-69, though the only real way to tell is to get a factory letter. Sometimes the ship dates are later than the listed manufactured dates. You might find this thread interesting...
